Day 11 – The awe inspiring Highlands (16/08/23)

 

Today was another awesome day and another day closer.

 

The Highlands are just awe inspiring and amazing, I feel like I’ve just taken a job with the UK tourist board!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We started at Tyndrum and cycled a lot of the A82 to Fort William; where we had a lovely lunch at the Caledonian Hotel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We then left Fort William and made our way to Fort Augustus where the ice cream/beer gang has gained a few new members.

 

So we are now on the edge of Loch Ness…….. so we shall be Nessie Hunters tomorrow!

 

One highlight apart from the scenery of this tour is the people we have met. We have loved listening to their stories and about their lives & families.
We have enjoyed seeing some members of the tour receive family visits …. It’s like being in the jungle!!

 

 

 

 

Tomorrow we will leave Fort Augustus and continue through the Highlands to Invergordon.
