LEJOG 2023 “Bottom to Top” – Supporting The British Heart Foundation
On Sunday 6th August two of our B&D team members, Helen Arnold & Kelly Phillips, will embark on a “Lands End to John O’Groates” cycle ride – LEJOG Bottom to Top!
This brave and adventurous 1009mile/1624 km trip will be achieved in 14 days…..assuming no wrong turns……and involves climbing a total of 55,310 feet/16,858m…..a total twice the height of Mount Everest.
As you can imagine such a feat has required a huge sacrifice with many hours and miles of training in all weathers and at all times of day.
Having decided to take on this this immense challenge, the team would like to donate any funds that can be raised to the British Heart Foundation (BHF); a charity pertinent to both Kelly and Helen as well as to many others around the country.
The BHF does fantastic work with support and research into Heart related illnesses, the world’s biggest killer, to help save or improve lives; it is therefore important that funding this life saving medical research continues. (www.bhf.org.uk)
